From a Farm Boy to a Sailor.
In September 1963 as an 18 year old lad who never ventured beyond the confines of Montana
my life changed dramatically when I enlisted in the United States Navy.
I received training in electronic communications and then cryptographic equipment maintenance.
In the grand scheme of life that training in digital electronics later afforded me an entry into the world of computer maintenance.
During the four year tour in the US Navy I served at the Naval Academy Prep School
(NAPS)during 1965 and on the
USS Fox DLG33during 1966 and the
USS Waddell DDG24 during 1967.
